Windows Subsystem for Linux

WSL (Windows Subsystem for Linux) is a tool that allows you to run a miniature Linux virtual machine on a Windows host. There are two versions of WSL. To compare them, check out the comparison article1.

Everything here assumes you're using WSL2, and if you're not, you should be.
